Update 14 - Structure/layout completed and extra terraced steel added.


The foundation of the room layout is now completed with the structures in place and kitchenettes added. We have continued to work hard during lockdown with minimal disruption to ensure that this development continues. There have been steel "fence" additions to the internal structure to give the balcony effect of the upper level of each room.

Update 13 - Second Fix continues!


In the last month we have been hard at work putting the second fixes in place. We have completed the base plastering and we have applied the first coat of mist paint in the rooms.

We approach completion on this development which will be a highly sought after space - more updates will be released soon. 

Update 12 - First Fix Complete. Second Fix Underway!!


The First Fix Stage is now complete on the Memorial site. Heaton Group's extensive contacts with suppliers and buying power have enabled us to ensure the delivery of highly sought after materials to site. This has ensured there is no delay on site and trades are now straight into the second fix phase. 

Update 11 - Mezzanine Decks installed & First Fix Underway


The mezzanine decks are now in place, along with the individual stair cases that will give access to the bed space. Externally windows are now installed throughout following the delivery of the ground floor bespoke glazing units. With the metal partitions complete first fix plumbing work has now got underway. 

Update 10 - First Fix Metalling and Pod Construction underway.


Now that the major building and structural works are complete work has begun on constructing the internal partition walls. As the units begin to take shape the impressive high ceilings and ample natural lighting can now be seen. The steel pod structures that will form the base for the bed decks are also now in place. Underneath these platforms will house the kitchenettes and bathroom making excellent use of these spaces.

Update 9 - New Black Windows & Velux's Installed.


The new black windows have now been installed making the building water tight. Matching velux windows have also now been installed bringing extra light to the duplex units.

Update 8 - New Roof / Structural Opening for Staircase


With the new roof almost complete and the site now protected from the weather work can begin to gather pace internally. The new structural opening has been formed ready for the internal staircase which has been ordered. Windows and external cladding have been measured ready for installation early in the new year. 

Update 7 - Structural Works Continue


New roof beginning to take shop encompassing the steel pod structure. Elsewhere on site structural works are now approaching completion as preparations begin for commencement of the first fix stage and partition work to define each studio unit.

Update 6 - Steel Pod Installation & Internal Steel Completion.


The Steel Pod structure is now installed on the roof. This will provide extra space in the development. Internally the extensive new structural steel is also now complete, meaning the internal work can now begin to gather pace. The original shop front has now been removed completely ready for the new walls and signature windows. 

Update 5 - New Structural Work and Water Mains


The new drainage system is now complete along with the new water mains supply. Internally new structural supports and openings are now almost complete. Plans are now being formalised for the partition teams to begin marking out each studio in preparation for the partition walls.

Update 4 - New Structural Openings and Drain System


Following the completion of the demolition works and internal rip out, work has now begun installing the new structural steel work. New openings are also beginning to be formed in the existing building along with new floors throughout. Externally excavation is complete ready for the new drainage system. 

Update 3 - Rip Out Complete

Internal rip out and demolition is now complete and measurements have been taken for the new structural steel work. This scheduled for delivery and installation week commencing 21.04.2019.

Update 2 - Internal Rip Out Commenced

With full planning permission now obtained from the local authority work is underway clearing out the internal office space. Once clear the major demolition of existing partition walls and the creation of new openings can commence. Anticipated development completion August 2019.

Update 1 - Planning
