Update 13 - Development Completed

Update 12 - Show Apartment


The show apartment is now complete and furnished. Practical completion has been put back slightly to mid January due to a delay in the new electrical supply from a third party. 

Update 11 - Second Fix Underway. 8 weeks to completion !!!


The finishing line is in site at Johnsons Square as the second fix stage nears completion. Externally the new build cladding is now complete along with the new velux windows affording views to the City (Please excuse the weather!!). Internally kitchens are also now installed as contractors begin preparations for the flooring to be installed next week. Please keep monitoring this page for details of the upcoming open day at the development. 

Update 10 - First Fix Almost Complete.


The first fix stage is now approaching completion on Johnson's Square. Externally the building is beginning to look great with the installation of the new sleek black windows and re slated roof. 

Update 9 - Internal Stair Cases


All the new internal staircases are now installed giving access to the whole development. Elsewhere all structural works and new openings are now complete as we get ready for the start of first fix electrics, Plumbing and Mechanical ventilation next week. Externally the building is really beginning to take shape .

Update 8 - 'Signature Window' and internal flooring & openings.


With the site now 50% sold out work continues to progress at a steady pace despite the recent downpours making some tasks difficult. The new signature circular window at the rear of the development is now in place as the remaining windows are delivered to site. The existing building is now joined internally with the new build extension via the openings as the building becomes water tight. Internally the new floors have been installed throughout with openings ready for new stair cases. Externally some of the existing brick work has been cleaned and re-pointed. 

Update 7 - New Build Extension Complete

The New Build Cantilever Extension is now complete at the rear of the development. Internal door openings have also now been cut out to link the existing building to the new structure. The velux openings are now visible in the new roof ready for the installation of the windows. 

Update 6 - New Roof

The new roof is now almost complete and ready for the installation of the slates. Internally the structural walls continue to go up at pace as the building is now unrecognisable internally from the pictures at the beginning of the project.

Update 5 - New Build and Structural Steel Installation

Work has now commenced on the new build extension towards the rear of the development that includes the re build of the outer skin encompassing the signature circular wall feature. Internally the new structural steel has begun to be installed as new openings and partitions are created.

Update 4 - Rip Out Complete. Preparation for Structural Work and New Build Ground Works.

With the external site clearance and demolition of existing building complete, works have now progressed inside. The internal removal of existing walls has also now been completed allowing for the measurement of new structural steelwork. Groundwork for the New Build extension to the rear is now scheduled to start early next week. 

Update 3 - Hoarding erected and demolition underway.

Now that planning is approved HG's development team have moved onto site and secured the area ready for the works to commence. The internal demolition and site clearance of the existing building is now underway.
