Update 13 - Internal structure and Planning


Work continues and gathers pace at Bishopgate Gardens. We are constructing the steel interior framework and insulating before closing off the initial internal wall structure. The rooftop sees the outline of the terrace created and we continue to work to the initial plans.

Update 12 - Internal work begins


Work continues at Bishopgate Gardens - internal layout now in progress and the outer facade ready for installation in the next few weeks. All steel structures are now in place ready for integral structure additions and features.

Update 11 - Curtain Walls Underway


Curtain wall now well underway on rear side.

All cantilever extensions in place, now infilled with  concrete flooring which has created a solid base to begin curtain wall work on this face of the building.

Initially we had lost 3 weeks progress due to COVID-19 and some supplier issues which has now been reduced to 1 with longer working days, shift work and good progress.



Update 10 - Cantilevers complete


Cantilever extension to main face of Residence A now complete.

Curtain Wall tracking installation commenced.

Elsewhere on location concrete base in for new cinema retail complex adjacent to Bishopgate Gardens.

Update 9 - Cantilevers to Complete on Residence A


Cantilever extension due for completion on the main face of Residence A by the end of this week. Metal workers will then move onto the side of this residence before commencing the extensions on  Residence B.  

Split shifts, working into the night have not only helped the Heaton Group stay on track with completion estimate, but works are now 4 weeks ahead of schedule.

Update 8 - Work continuing during Coronavirus


As the days get longer, we continue to work on the structure of Bishopgate Gardens, now that the cantilever extensions are in place we are now moving to the inside structure. The site remains open as our contractors practice social distancing.

Update 7 - Continuing Cantilever Extensions


As we continue work through these trying times we have seen the cantilever extensions continue with the scaffolding now being erected around the development. We are continuing development as normal and we are seeing some real progress made to the structure of both buildings.

Update 6 - Cantilever Extension Underway


Despite the recent turmoil and anxiety caused by the corona virus, work continues to progress at pace on Bishopgate Gardens. Now that all the external facades are removed work has begun installing the Cantilever Extensions which will greatly increase the overall footprint of the development. 

Update 5 - Cranes arrive and structural work commences


The façade has been removed to make way for the cantilever extensions and the new, modern cladding. The cranes have arrived on site to install the steel necessary to create the new structural support of the building

Update 4 - Mast Climbers and External Facade Removal


Excitement continues to grow at Bishopgate Gardens as the Mast Climbers are now almost in place. Work has already begun removing the external facade of the offices ready for installation of the structural steel work. Once the cantilever sections are in place the contours of the building will begin to take real shape. Elsewhere on site work is ongoing with a sample installation of the external cladding and glazing so that interested parties can get and early look at how the completed façade will look. Work continues to progress on the Sales Office on Ormskirk Rd that will be open and ready to take enquiries from the 3rd of March 2020. See the drone footage below.


Update 3 - Internal Clear Out Complete. Mast Climber Installation Underway.


The internal rip out of the two blocks is now complete. Work has progressed at real pace as the internal walls have also been removed allowing for the installation of the new concrete floors throughout. Now all this is complete work has begun erecting the external 'Mast Climber's' that will provide the platform for the removal of the existing frontage and windows on the faces to receive the cantilever extension. Heaton Group have also recently taken some night time drone footage of the site to give an idea of its excellent City Centre location and great surroundings. 

Update 2 - Demolition Underway


The site has now been secured with Heaton Group hoarding and the site office is also now in place. Works have now begun stripping out the internal fixtures and fittings of both towers ready for the installation of new floors throughout. February will see the release of the project for Sale, so please keep checking the website for sales particulars.

Update 1 - Planning Permission Granted


Planning Permission has now been formally granted after Preston voted unanimously in favour of this development. Summer 2021 will see the Heaton group deliver 130 high-end luxury apartments right in the heart of this thriving City.
